This Trinity Knot and Spiral Pendant is the perfect combination of Celtic symbols. Featuring a traditional Celtic Trinity Knot, covered in clear Cubic Zirconia stones. A rose gold plated spiral Triskele symbol dangles beside this.

The Triskele is a complex ancient Celtic symbol, consisting of three interlocked spirals. The symbol features in both ancient and modern Celtic art. It evokes the Celtic interpretation of the three realms of material existence: earth, water, and sky. The symbol also portrays the three Celtic worlds. This is the spiritual world, the present world and the celestial world.

The Triskele is widely regarded as one of the oldest Irish symbols in existence. The earliest creation dates back to the Neolithic era, as it can be seen at the entrance of Newgrange. This dates back from approximately 3200 BC.

The Celtic Trinity knot is also called the “Triquetra” which is Latin for a three-cornered shape. It’s the most well know Celtic knot. It has been adopted from ancient Celtic art by Christianity as a symbol to represent the Holy Trinity; the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

However, to the Celts it is believed to have meant many things. This included the mind, body, spirit; earth, sea and sky and beginning, middle and end – continuity. The trinity knot has also been known to symbolize life, death, and rebirth.
